Product performance:

1. Enhance the efficacy of dandruff suppressants

Biomimetic phospholipid PTM can enhance the efficacy of the anti dandruff agent pyroxene ethanolamine (OCT) in shampoo. OCT has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects. To demonstrate the performance of PTM in improving OCT efficacy, antibacterial rings were used in commercially available shampoo without dandruff reducing agents.

In Figure 1, according to the results of the antibacterial ring, compared with the shampoo with only 0.02% OCT added, 0.8% PTM can effectively improve the efficacy of OCT in shampoo and inhibit the growth of Malassezia furfur.

1. Reduce the amount of preservatives used in rinse off products

The potential health concerns about commonly used preservatives, such as nipagin esters, are increasingly being promoted. So lower efficiency preservatives, such as phenoxyethanol, are increasingly being used. The inhibition test area proves that 1% PTM can improve the anti-corrosion efficiency of phenoxyethanol in mild cleaning products (picture 2).
